the world is unmapped until you walk it

Your map starts dark.
Walking turns it on. Forever.

FOG is a fog-of-war map of your real life. Every street you walk is revealed for good — your city, your travels, your whole world, drawn in light you earned on foot.

How it works

Walk. Reveal. Keep it.

No setup, no goals to configure, nothing to maintain. Open the door and the map starts paying attention.

i.

Walk anywhere

The fog burns away wherever you pass — and stays away. Every errand becomes territory.

ii.

Collect the world

Cross into a new country, region, or landmark and it joins your collection. Pokémon, but the Pokédex is Earth.

iii.

Earn your rank

From Fogbound to Atlas — ranks are paid for in kilometers, and only walking counts.

The proof

Your trail draws the world.

Every clearing on your map is somewhere your feet have actually been. Stack enough of them and the trail itself becomes a map of your life — one glowing line at a time.

One tap turns it into a share card. Brag responsibly.

A statement from the fog

FOG does not track you. FOG simply hides the world until you walk it. That's the whole app.

No account. No analytics. Your map never leaves your phone — we couldn't look at it if we wanted to.
No streaks, no timers, no events. Nothing to lose at 11:43pm. The world just stays open.
Nothing to rent. One purchase unlocks everything, once — like buying a shovel, not renting one.
Yours, permanently. Export your map anytime. If we vanished tomorrow, it would still be on your phone.
Questions people actually ask

The fine print, in plain air.

How can I see where I've walked on a map?

Open FOG and walk. The map starts covered in fog; every street you pass is revealed and stays revealed forever. Come back in a year and your whole walking history is still there, drawn in light. With the one-time unlock you can also import years of old walks from Google Timeline or GPX files.

What is a fog of war walking map?

"Fog of war" is the video-game idea that a map stays hidden until you explore it. FOG applies that to real life: Earth is the map, your feet are the cursor. Unexplored ground is fogged; ground you've walked is permanently clear.

Is FOG free?

Free to explore — the fog, the map, the collection, and the first ranks cost nothing. One small one-time purchase unlocks unlimited ranks, every character, and history import. There is no subscription and never will be.

Does FOG track me or sell my data?

No. Your map never leaves your phone. There's no account, no cloud, no analytics, no ads — we couldn't look at your map if we wanted to. Export it anytime; it's yours.

Does it work while my phone is in my pocket?

Yes — turn on background exploring and FOG keeps revealing as you walk with the screen off. Everything you covered is waiting on the map the next time you open it.
